Brooklin Heerin

My name Is Brook Heeren. I am 19 years old. I am currently in the SAFE club Here at ICC along with the UNITE Club on the Exec board for Rotaract and the school choir. I am also a current SGA Senator as well. I love to volunteer around the community as well as love being a leader not just for my school but for my community as well. I am also very nice and friendly to others around my school.

What I hope to accomplish as an executive officer is to be inclusive because I sometimes see people sitting alone and nobody going up to them. I also want to come up with new ideas and fun ways to get the school involved in the activities and to inspire other people to join the clubs. My other goal is to help the school out by getting involved in training and approving stuff that we should have but dont have. I am known for being the kindest person ever and also known for being in a lot of clubs trying to stay active and love being involved around the school.

Scott Jackson

Scott Jackson is a native of Central Illinois, raised in Pekin and currently living in Peoria. It is there that he lives with his girlfriend and their four cats. He loves video games, musicals, comic books, 80s and 90s nostalgia, and overall, a good story to enjoy. After finally reaching his limits with retail work, he decided to reinvent himself by going back to school to pursue his dream of becoming a writer and teacher. In his spare time, he picks up extra roles in local films, helps out with a local community theatre, and continues to work on his first novels. Presently, he is the Vice President of Scholarship for the Illinois Central College honor society, Phi Theta Kappa.

I feel that Illinois Central College should be more than just a place to take classesit should feel like a second home to everyone. Every student should feel welcomed, supported, and confident that their voice matters here. As SGA President, I will work to strengthen our sense of community by encouraging open communication, student engagement, and a culture of inclusivity. I want to ensure that all studentspresent and futurefeel they belong here and can talk to anyone about anything without hesitation. My goal is to make ICC a place where students are not just passing through, but truly feel connected and at home.

Arjunay Hill

Hey ICC! Im Arjunay Hill, and Im humbly excited to campaign for the SGA Vice President position. To give a little background of experience. In my previous studies, I was a part of the "Student council," which is somewhat similar to SGA. However, we were an elected group of students who had regular meetings about our class and made decisions for our class. We were also in charge of class activities. Taking the experience of advocating, planning, problem solving, strategizing, etc. That I received from the Student Council club, Im determined about making our school a better place for everyone.

I believe in creating a student government that genuinely listens, takes action, and makes real changes. Whether its improving school events, advocating for student needs, or making sure everyones voice is heard, Im here to speak up for the soft-spoken and overall for students. If elected, I plan to work on bringing fresh ideas, transparency, and more opportunities for student involvement and interactions. Lets persevere this year and make this year unforgettable. Thank you.

Paul Aiden Vens

My name is Paul Aiden Vens. I am currently working on getting into the health career programs here at ICC. Though I have already graduated college, I found that the job market for my previous degrees (anthropology and history) was less than ideal. I then resolved to return to school and try and do college right the second time around. For me, that means being more involved in the school as a whole, working with/for the student body, and generally being helpful (or nosy depending on your point of view) wherever possible. To date, I have done so by joining a variety of student organizations (including some like PTK and DnD club), as well as working on campus (both as a student orientation leader and a peer support). But I have found that this is not nearly enough involvement for me.

As such, I decided to run for the Student Government Association. Specifically, I am running for treasurer this year. My most frank and honest wish is to help serve this new community I have found myself in. I hope you will afford me the opportunity to do so.

Esther David

Hello, my name is Esther David, and Im excited to run to be your Illinois Central College Student Trustee! I love being part of our college community, and I want to do as much as I can to make a difference. Every student deserves to feel heard, valued, and included, and I want to be the voice that represents you. No matter who you are or where you come from, your ideas and concerns matter. My goal is to improve our college in ways that truly benefit students, whether that means more resources, more opportunities, or a stronger sense of community. I want to create a campus where everyone feels comfortable getting involved and making a difference. Your voice matters, and I will work hard to make sure its represented.

As Student Trustee, I will work hard to keep you informed and engaged. Too often, students dont know how decisions are made or how they can contribute, and I want to change that. Whether its through open discussions, regular updates, or just being available to talk, I want to make it easy for students to stay involved. Our college should be a place where every students voice carries weight, and I will make sure that happens. Most of all, I want to be someone you can count on to listen and advocate for what truly matters to us as students.

I am committed to doing everything I can to make our college the best it can be. If you want a leader who will stand up for you, I would be honored to have your vote. Lets work together to build a better future for our college community!
