Terms & Definitions

Academic Year — Fall Semester 2014 and Spring Semester 2015

Full-time Student — Enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours each semester

Part-time Student — Enrolled less than 12 hours each semester

Pro-rated for part-time — Students enrolled 9-11 hours will receive 75% of the award, 6-8 hours will receive 50% and 3-5 hours 25%

GPA — Grade point average

Need Based — Student doesn't have to qualify for Federal Aid, but must demonstrate financial need to the Scholarship Committee

Nontraditional Student — A student who experienced an interruption in education between high school and college years; other circumstances may also qualify a student as "nontraditional"

Second Year Student — 30 credit hours or more successfully completed

ICC Resident — ICC serves all of Peoria and Woodford, portions of Bureau, Logan, Marshall, Livingston, McLean, Stark, Tazewell and Mason counties

Academic-related expenses — Include transportation, babysitting, etc. - expenses necessary and directly related to attending school
