Requirements & Guidelines

Foundation scholarship recipients must be residents of ICC District #514 and be enrolled as students at Illinois Central College unless otherwise noted in this booklet.

International students must be eligible to apply for Federal Aid, in accordance with the eligible noncitizen requirements listed on the FAFSA form, to be eligible for Foundation Scholarships.

Current ICC students must be in good standing (2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale) to receive a Foundation scholarship. As noted, some scholarships require a higher GPA.

Specific amounts of scholarship awards vary depending upon available funds. Awards may also be adjusted based on hours of enrollment at the time the scholarship recipient's student account is credited.

Scholarship awards are divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters and are generally awarded for one year. Foundation scholarships fund direct college costs - tuition, books and supplies - unless otherwise specified in this booklet. Funds are first used to defray tuition; then books and supplies; and then academic-related expenses, if allowed.

Current scholarship recipients may reapply for subsequent awards as long as eligibility requirements are met and funds are available, unless otherwise specified.
